Dubai GameExpo Submit 2023

The GameExpo Summit, powered by PG Connects, occurred from June 21st to 22nd. This exciting event coincided with the ‘Dubai Esports and Games Festival’ at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai — an impressive hub known for its sustainability and innovation.

In collaboration with the Dubai Economy & Tourism Department (DET), the Pocket Gamer Connects team organized a two-day conference experience in Dubai, a city in the fastest-growing region of the global games industry. With over 100 renowned game industry speakers worldwide, the summit offered engaging talks, panels, and seminars across various themed tracks.

Attendees discussed crucial topics that the games industry faces today, including emerging technologies like the metaverse, AI, and Web3. The event covered the latest development techniques, trends in monetization, and the remarkable growth of the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) market. This conference provided valuable insights and opportunities for industry professionals attending from around the globe.

Our CEO, Umer Abbas, expertly moderated an insightful session titled “The Metaverse Magic: Building the Worlds of the Future”. The esteemed panelists included Belal Jassoma, Head of Business Development at DMCC; Alexander Jorias, representing Club Cooee; Mohammad Alblooshi, CEO of DIFC Innovation Hub; Vincent Ghossoub, Co-Founder of Nifty Craft Oscar; and Wendel, a highly accomplished Senior Manager from the Dubai World Trade Centre. Together, they delved into the captivating realm of the metaverse and shared their invaluable perspectives on shaping the future of virtual worlds.
